Detail of the Museum of the Future
Dubai, as expected, outperforms all museum expectations. Because the futuristic museum is unlike any other, it combines elements of immersive theatre, interaction, and exhibition with cutting-edge technology. Visitors can look forward to an interactive experience featuring many prototypes and great innovations from around the world. Along with the exhibitions, there are changing courses, workshops, and lectures. The new museum will feature future technology from various fields such as public services, health care, and climate change. The museum’s theme is “How will technology change in the next 50 years?” This question will be addressed specifically in relation to climate change.
The world’s most complicated structure
Dubai is known for its record-breaking structures and attractions that never cease to amaze. Everything seems possible in Dubai, whether it’s the world’s tallest building, the largest Ferris wheel, or the most luxurious hotel. In addition, Dubai now has the world’s most complex building: the Museum of the Future. Never before has such a complex building been constructed in terms of façade and superstructure shape. It is a work of art in terms of planning, engineering, and construction that will set new benchmarks.
The Structure
The building’s shape is inspired by Feng Shui and resembles an eye looking into the future. A round shape, according to this doctrine, represents the past, present, and future. It is also associated with fertility and limitless imagination. The Arabic calligraphy that wraps around the building is probably the most eye-catching feature. The calligraphic characters contain quotations about Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum’s future. Calligraphy can be considered art and poetry, but it also serves as a functional window.
The Museum of the Future from the Inside
The museum is concerned with society as well as science and technology. The main focus is on how new technology and its applications in everyday life will affect culture. As a result, collaboration between humans and robots is important in the exhibition.
Climate change is another issue addressed by the museum. The exhibition addresses the following issues, among others: “Which technologies can control climate change?” and “What will life be like in 35, 50, or even 100 years?” Aside from permanent exhibitions, the museum also has space for temporary exhibitions that address issues concerning the future of our planet.
Furthermore, the Museum is much more than a museum: it serves as a global contact point for young talents, businesses, and people interested in technology. Participants will find competent support for the implementation of forward-thinking ideas in addition to professional exchange.
Dubai World Government Summit
For many years, Dubai has hosted the World Government Summit, a global gathering of government leaders. The central theme of this meeting is futurism and future technologies. All of these topics are made visible and tangible to visitors at the Museum of the Future. A new and innovative space was created with the new building to explore future topics in a new way.
This annual event is attended by approximately 150 countries each year.
