Where

Shirdi, in the Maharashtra district of Ahmednagar, is one of India’s most important religious destinations. It is only 190 kilometres from Pune and 240 kilometres from Mumbai. The town is famous for being the final resting place of Sai Baba, the great saint who died in 1918. Though Sai Baba’s real name and birthplace are unknown, he is thought to have arrived in Shirdi when he was around 16 years old and began living in the Khandoba Temple. It is unclear which religion he belonged to, as he was revered by both Hindus and Muslims. The saint spent nearly 50 years of his life preaching his famous saying ‘Sabka Maalik Ek’ in this town (one God for all). People of various religions, backgrounds, ethnicities, and countries have (and continue to) worship Sai Baba. Shirdi attracts thousands of visitors who come to see the Sri Sai Baba shrine and other attractions such as the Dixit Wada Museum, Adul Baba Cottage, Dwarkamai, and others. The town of is full of warmth, kindness, and compassion.

Best Time To Visit Shirdi
Shirdi is best visited in the winter (October to March), when the weather is cooler and more pleasant. However, the temple is open all year, so visitors can visit the city at any time. Travel plans should include a Thursday because it is a holy day. In fact, if a wish is to be granted, people frequently visit the temple and fast on seven consecutive Thursdays. On these days, however, the temple is extremely crowded. On festival days and other significant days, the temple and city are also crowded.

Shirdi Weather
Shirdi has a pleasant climate all year round. Summers (March to May) are hot and dry, and most visitors avoid them. During the summer, temperatures range from 21°C to 45°C. Only moderate rainfall occurs during the monsoon season (June to September), with temperatures ranging from 30°C to 35°C. The wettest months are July and August. Winters are the most popular season for tourists because the weather is pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 30°C. It occasionally drops below that, but it never gets too cold.

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation runs buses from Shirdi to all nearby towns, which can be used for daily transportation. There are luxury buses, deluxe buses, and regular buses. The temple authority (Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust) operates free buses from the railway station to the temple.
