India Gate is a war memorial dedicated to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War I.  Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, this landmark building is located in the center of New Delhi. The 42-meter high arch stands as a tribute to the Indian soldiers of the British Indian Army.   The walls of the gate bear the names of the warriors. India Gate, which is surrounded by verdant grounds, is a well-liked location for both residents and visitors, particularly in the evenings when the monument is exquisitely lit.
